September 11-13, 2026
LMTA (more precise location information coming soon)
We invite you to participate in an exclusive three-day seminar dedicated to the psycho-emotional and physical preparation of musicians for stage performance, which will take place on September 11–13, 2026 at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA).
Participation in the seminar is free, making it a unique opportunity to work individually with world-class specialists and an interdisciplinary team.
The greatest value of the seminar is the opportunity to work with the founder of the Timani Method, Timani specialist and physiotherapist Tina Margareta Nilsen. She teaches and conducts master classes internationally, collaborating with institutions such as The Juilliard School, Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, Universität der Künste Berlin, Norwegian Academy of Music and other prestigious music academies. She also works with professional orchestras and world-class performers, including Leif Ove Andsnes, musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic, the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt and other international performers.

Each day of the seminar will be dedicated to one method – the Timani method, Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation, or the application of Body Mapping.
The main practical sessions will be led by Timani specialist and physiotherapist Tina Margareta Nilsen, who will work individually with each participant. She will help them better understand the body’s biomechanics, more effective movement control, and their impact on musical performance.
The seminar process will be based on practical work and consistent reflection. Each day there will be group and individual sessions, during which participants will work on their chosen concert program. Before the concert, each performer will fill out a self-reflection questionnaire and body map, noting their physical sensations, tension, breathing and other individual aspects. During the performance, participants will mark the most important moments and observations in their notes.
During the evening concerts, the participants’ performances will be monitored by a psychologist, a musicologist and a professional musician, who will evaluate the performance from their professional perspective, fill in specially prepared evaluation sheets and body maps. After each concert, an individual reflection will take place, during which the observations of the performer and the specialists will be compared. In this way, each participant will receive detailed and individual feedback about their stage performance, physical well-being, stress reactions and possible ways of improvement.
The goal of this seminar is not to judge the performer, but to help them get to know their body better, understand individual reactions to stage stress, identify personal musical challenges, and discover the most effective strategies that help them play music more freely, confidently, and without unnecessary tension.
The only requirement is to be open to new experiences and participate in the entire seminar from September 11-13, 2026, from 09:00 to 20:00.
The number of places is extremely limited in order to ensure individual work with each participant and high-quality feedback.
Students of all wind instruments are invited to actively participate.
If you would like to actively participate in the seminar, please inform us of your interest by July 10, 2026.
