The first session of the international WIRE DOCTUS 2026 doctoral seminar program took place on 13–14 April 2026 in Lisbon, at the Lusófona University. The seminar theme – “Cinema and Decadence: The New Relevance of an Old Topic” – brought together doctoral students and researchers for discussions on decadence in cinema, fashion, technology and artistic research. The program included guest lectures, film screenings and discussions, workshops on artificial intelligence and algorithmic bias in artistic research, as well as a visit to the WIRE artistic research exhibition.
