Rethinking Why Re-Search Matters: Interacting with the Possibility of Possibilities
In this lecture-workshop, you will explore together research concepts and theories that encourage reflection, using inventive, playful and transformative artistic and art-based research tools. Together, you will consider how becoming re-searchers, we-searchers and me-searchers can lead to new approaches to knowledge production and artistic inquiry. You will challenge common beliefs about what research is, why it is important and what it can provide in a rapidly changing and uncertain world. You will be introduced to bold and unexpected research practices that invite you not only to conform to established rules, but also to explore what may yet become possible. You will rethink what artistic and art-based inquiry can do. Using performative methods and cartographic combinations, you will seek new perspectives on creation, research and ourselves as creative people.
