After receiving great success and interest from participants a year ago, the project “Not What We Agreed” invites you to the second conference “Deaf Person – Professional Performer: How to Achieve it? 2026”, during which professionals in their fields: deaf Canadian actress, television presenter, educator Dawn Jani Birley, lecturer at Vilnius College (Faculty of Pedagogy), translator-consultant of the Vilnius branch of the LGKVC, former president of the Lithuanian Society of the Deaf Vytautas Pivoras, and LGK (Lithuanian Sign Language) ambassador Ieva Pečiulytė will share their knowledge.
The event will present “Not What We Agreed”, a musical audiovisual collection created jointly by deaf and hearing people, consisting of almost two dozen works, and its material has become a unique tool for educators working with deaf culture. This album can be seen and heard on the music listening platforms Spotify, YouTube and LRT Mediateka. This album has also been released in the format of an exclusive limited edition vinyl record.
The conference “Deaf Person – Professional Performer: How to Achieve it?” is intended for inclusive education specialists, art teachers, educators, higher education educators, performing arts professionals, and anyone interested in inclusive art and education.

Certificates:
The Lithuanian Centre for Inclusive Education will issue electronic 5 academic hours certificates for the development of inclusive education competencies in performing arts to all interested participants.
The event is organized by Public Institution “Liūdni slibinai” together with partners: Lithuanian Centre for Inclusion in Education, Lithuanian Centre for Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Lithuanian Society of the Deaf, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, LMTA Art Centre.
The event is partially funded by Vilnius City Municipality and the Nordic Council of Ministers.
