The LAMT Research Center, in collaboration with the Institute of Art Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences, is carrying out a joint project “Polish and Lithuanian Music in Global Perspective: Migration, Diaspora Identities and Homeland”.
On March 24–25, study days were held in Warsaw, featuring a visit by New York University professor Brigid Cohen. Polish and Lithuanian musicologists: Barbara Mielcarek-Kryžanowska, Jolanta Guzy-Pasiak, Lucja Siedlik, Iwona Lindstedt, Lukasz Kaczmarowski, Beata Boleslawska-Lewandowska, Rūta Stanevičiūtė, Danutė Petrauskaitė, and Kamilė Rupeikaitė presented their latest research on migration-related topics.
The research is ongoing and will soon be published in the form of academic articles and monographs.
