The Performing Arts Research Center (PARC) of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre invites you to the international conference “Women in Music: (Auto)Biographies Voiced and Narrated”, which will be held on April 14–16, 2027 in Vilnius.
The conference will bring together musicologists, sound art researchers and representatives of artistic research to discuss women’s (auto)biographies and their representation in musicology, sound art and cultural studies. The event will explore issues of identity, archives, creative networks, body, sound and musical narratives, encouraging interdisciplinary approaches and a critical perspective on traditional notions of biography.
We are also looking forward to proposals for papers. The deadline for submission is October 1, 2026.
