The workshop mentor was French mixed music composer and multimedia artist Pierre Jodlowski, whose work transcends conventional musical boundaries and spans contemporary music, dance, circus, theatre, visual arts, electronic music, film, and interactive installations. Jodlowski describes his work as an “active process” on both the physical level (musical gestures, action not only through sound in time but also through the body in space) and the psychological level (exploring relationships among memory, sound visualization, the body, and media). Since 1998 he has been one of the artistic directors of éOle, a research and production studio based in Toulouse, and since 2019 he has served as artistic director of the Musica Electronica Nova festival organized by the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, Poland. He is currently an associated composer of the IRCAM composition course. Participants also worked with choreographer, contemporary dancer, creator, pedagogue, and LMTA doctoral student Greta Grinevičiūtė. The aim of the workshops was to test and apply appropriate working methods in the context of interdisciplinary collaboration, while searching for a shared creative language and forms of expression.
