Doctoral students from LMTA and the Latvian Academy of Culture worked with internationally recognized artist-researchers: Latvian composer Krists Auznieks, British musicologist and pianist Julian Hellaby, Finnish documentary filmmaker Susanna Helke, and UK-based actress and artistic researcher Ilona Krawczyk, as well as LMTA scholars musicologist Lina Navickaitė-Martinelli and theatre scholar Ramunė Balevičiūtė. R. Balevičiūtė also moderated a public discussion on the significance of research for the career of a professional artist.
The aim was to expand the competencies of early-career researchers, provide opportunities to present their research, exchange ideas, and learn in an informal environment.
