INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM “IMPACT” 2024: IMPROVISATION, CREATIVITY AND RESEARCH-BASED EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS
On November 27–30, 2024, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre will host the second international symposium “IMPACT”, this time dedicated to research-based education in the field of performing arts. The event is organized together with partners from Greece “The Makings of the Actor” and their project “Act in the World”, supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports. This event is also part of the project “Establishment and Development of a Center of Excellence in Performing Arts Research”, partly funded by the Science Council of Lithuania.
The “IMPACT” network explores creativity and improvisation, fostering interdisciplinary dialogues between music, theatre, dance, media and artistic research. The theme of the 2024 event is the integration of research into educational processes. The forum will bring together scholars, artists, art researchers and educators to explore the intersections of creative practice and education, invite discussions about innovative methodologies and share insights on how research can enrich performing arts education.
The event is open to all listeners.
